Quick Cheese Bread
You are going to be amazed by how delicious this quick cheese bread turns out. For something that takes minutes to whip up, it really does an impressive job standing in for traditional bread at the table.
It doesn’t use any yeast, so goodbye kneading and proofing. And with such simple and readily available ingredients you can make it pretty much any time. It doesn’t use eggs either, so that makes it even more ready to make.
Since anything made with cheese is fantastic, don’t be surprised if this bread disappears quickly. It’s amazing toasted, and don’t even get me started about addictive it is for grilled cheese. It’s sinful as a midnight snack. It can be eaten for any meal, any time of the day.
Mix Ins
This cheese bread wins just as it is, but feel free to experiment and add mix ins to take it even further. Add a little cayenne pepper for some heat. Why not add some fresh or dried herbs like dill, oregano or even a mix. Green onions or chives not only give it a more savory flavor but also add color. And can you imagine what bacon lovers would say if you added a diced whack of that to the batter?
And don’t be afraid to vary the cheese too. Swiss, Monterey Jack or Jalapeno Havarti would be stellar options to use in place of cheddar. Whether you make it plain or boost it to a level of masterpiece status, make this quick cheese bread and let me know how it turned for you!
