Easiest Ice Cream – No Churn, 2 Ingredients!
Here is a method for making ice cream that is so easy, you will wonder why you ever bothered with any other recipe. It only uses 2 main ingredients–plus flavourings and/or mix-ins of your choice.
These two ingredients are 35% cream and sweetened condensed milk. From there you add vanilla if you’re keeping things simple, but it doesn’t stop there! For other flavours, try out the many extracts that are available in most bulk stores. If this isn’t your thing, try adding puréed fruit like strawberries or peaches. Half a cup is all you will need. For a chocolate based ice cream, add half a cup of the best unsweetened cocoa powder you can find. I highly recommend sifting it first, and any of the flavourings, whether puréed fruit or cocoa, are best added after the condensed milk goes in.
In my how-to video for this recipe, I divided the base so I could have half vanilla, and the other half I folded in some chocolate chips. Before adding mix-ins, you must freeze the base for four hours. It will resemble a soft serve by that point and any extra goodies you decide to fold in will stay speckled throughout. Try nuts, cherries, marshmallows or candy pieces. The sky’s he limit!
I can’t say much more at this point other than try out this recipe–it’s too easy not to!
Ingredients
- 1 container 35% cream (473 ml)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (300 ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or any flavor)
- 1/2 cup mix-ins (optional) like nuts, fruits, chocolate chips, broken cookies, chocolate bars etc.
Instructions
- Chill a mixing bowl with beaters for about 30 minutes.
- Add 35% cream and beat until soft peaks form, about 5 minutes.
- Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla (or other flavoring). Beat until well combined.
- Pour ice cream base into a container. If adding mix-ins, allow to firm up in freezer for 4-6 hours, then fold into ice cream base.
- Allow to freeze for an additional 2 hours.
thankyou for the recipe!
